This page explains what kornuxindustries.com collects, why, how long it is kept, and how you can have it deleted. It is written to be read, not to hide anything: the site collects very little, and nothing at all until you agree.

1. Who is responsible
This site is published and operated by Kornux Industries,
an independent video game developer (Kornux Games).

Hosting: the site runs on a private virtual server rented from Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland) — www.infomaniak.com. Data is stored on that server only.
2. Cookies
The site uses one non-essential service: Google Analytics 4,
to count visits and see which pages are used. It writes the cookies
_ga and _ga_* in your browser.
Your choice is stored in your browser only (localStorage, key
kx-consent), never sent to the server, and it is asked again
after 13 months. You can change it at any time:
There is no advertising, no ad network, no social media tracker, no
profiling and no cross-site tracking on this site. The YouTube player used
on some pages is loaded through youtube-nocookie.com.
3. What is collected, and for how long
- Visit statistics (only if you accept) — pages viewed, clicks on buttons, approximate country, browser and device type, collected by Google Analytics 4. Google does not receive your full IP address in GA4. This data is kept for at most 14 months (the maximum Google Analytics allows), then deleted automatically.
- Mini-game counter — the number of games played per day and how many players are online. No IP address is ever stored. To tell two players apart without identifying them, the server keeps a one-way fingerprint (a salted SHA-256 hash that cannot be turned back into an address), and only for the current day. The daily totals that remain are plain numbers with no personal data in them, kept 400 days.
- Server logs — like every web server, the site records each request (IP address, date, page, browser) for security and troubleshooting. These logs rotate automatically and are deleted after 14 days.
- Emails you send — kept only as long as needed to answer you and keep track of the exchange.
Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with anyone. It is not used to build a profile, and there is no automated decision-making.
4. Your rights, including deletion
Under the GDPR you can, at any time and free of charge, ask to:
- know what data concerns you (access),
- have it corrected,
- have it deleted — the "right to be forgotten",
- object to it being processed, or ask for its use to be restricted,
- receive a copy in a readable format (portability),
- withdraw your consent, which the cookie button above does instantly.
Write to contact@kornuxindustries.com and it will be handled within one month. No account is needed — this site has no accounts.
You can also erase the analytics data attached to your browser yourself, at any second and without asking: click "Decline" in the cookie banner (the button above reopens it), or clear the cookies for this site in your browser. If you think your data is mishandled, you may complain to your national data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
5. Kornux Creators
Kornux Creators (creators.kornuxindustries.com) is a separate service with its own accounts, its own data and its own policy — read it here: creators.kornuxindustries.com/privacy. Nothing on this page applies to it.
6. Intellectual property
All content on this site — games, artwork, logos, screenshots, texts — is the property of Kornux Industries, unless stated otherwise. Press material offered for download on the Media page may be used to talk about the games, with credit.
7. Changes to this page
If what the site collects changes, this page is updated on the same day and the date at the top changes with it.
